The "Virtual Uffizi" web site is brought to you by

a bunch of other Internet friends who had been spidering the 'Net for images.
What is in the site:
actually the site contains 505 exact files, one for each of the painting exhibited in the real "Uffizi Gallery", plus
apx. 400 images of the above mentioned files. (The number of paintings exhibited is always changing due to
restorations, external exhibitions, damages from the 1993 bomb, new acquisitions and so on). We are also planning to
add detailed explanation of each painting plus a lot of other things but nobody knows when this is going to happen.
