 Children in Florence

Parents with young children should call in at:
the Ludoteca centrale, Piazza Santissima Annunziata 13, tel. 247.838.6, for toys and games. Open every morning (except Wednesday) from 9.00 until 13.00; open in the afternoon from 15.00 to 19.00 (Tuesday and Friday for children over six years old, Monday and Thursday for younger children).
Several parks also provide a play area where families can relax: Piazza d'Azeglio, Borgo Allegri, the horticultural garden in Via Vittorio Emanuele II 4.
The Cascine park, the garden at the Fortezza da Basso (the park is located beside the Fortezza between Viale Strozzi and Viale Spartaco Lavagnini).
