Giorgio Bartolozzi won't mind at all if we call him old-fashioned: his honesty, helpfulness and dedication to his trade all seem to belong to another era. Every summer he gives up part of his much-deserved holiday to tour Italy in search of rare and special cheeses. Whether Tuscan pecorino or Pasubio, Caporetto or Burrata, Bra or Gorgonzola imperiale they are all quite superb. The cold meats and salami are equally good.

Luxury delicatessen. Lots of tasty delicacies, including delicious sandwiches to eat at the bar with a flute of white wine. .
Pegna

Supermarket style, but with an old-fashioned and gentlee atmosphere. They stock absolutely everything.

A grocer's shop wich produces delicious hot meals at lunch time.
Tassini

Fabulous delicatessen and specialities with a quite unique choice of salami and cheeses.

One of the few surviving "deep fry" shops with a wide choice of tasty nibbles.

Via Madonna della Quercia, 23/b.

Bufala mozzarella (the very best) and a wide range of cheeses and top quality produce from Lucca And Campania.

There are wonderful marble basin for the stockfish to soak in, while the dried fillets hang from the ceiling. Anchovies, herring, rice and beans are all available here. The shop opened in the early years of this century and offers an amazing variety of goods.
