T he farmhouse Castelvecchio is located among the Chianti hills in the area famous for the production of the wine Chianti Colli Fiorentini, just between Florence (at 20 km) and Siena (at 40 km). The village San Casciano with shops and banks is in 6 km distance. The farmhouse is well renomated in Tuscany for the biological production of wine and olive-oil. The cultivation of wineyards and olive-trees, extended over more than 80 hectars land, is realized totally respecting the natural rules, preserving the biological balance of this land. All wines are produced from selected grapes and are the result of an accurate wine production. From the farmhouse, walking on the ancient Francigena street, you can visit the Saint Lorenzo Chapel, whose historical origin date back to the XII century. Continuing on this street, totally isolated in the country, you will find an ancient farmhouse among the olive-trees. This house has been recently restored and diveded in to 4 apartments. In the garden there is a nice swimming-pool, where the guests can enjoy relaxing hours in the summer. All apartments are furnished in typical tuscan rustic style with cupboards in walnut, bed in wrought iron, "cotto" floors and roofs with wooden beams.In the wine-cellar nearby you can buy a good wine Chianti Colli Fiorentini, extra-vergin olive-oil and several other products. For hall sport-fans at just 1 km of distance there is a new sporting club "Ponterotto" with tennis courts, horse-riding and five-players-soccer field.
